The Code of Good Faith for Public Health Sector in the Employment Relations Act 2000 requires Te Whatu Ora to provide for patient safety during any strike, by ensuring life preserving services (LPS) are available to prevent a serious threat to life or a threat of permanent disability. ASMS and Te Whatu Ora have agreed the following arrangements for any strike of Senior Medical Officers and Senior Dental Officers employed by Te Whatu Ora on Thursday 1 May.
